Find your next real coin pendant with Pendant and Ring!

It is important that the pieces you pick out are the right size for you and your purpose. Large pieces worn alone are statement pieces. They make a statement about you and your style. This Shield Coin Pendant is on a thick and heavy chain. Together, this pendant and chain are a statement piece. You wear the combo by itself. If you want to layer your look, you can wear two or three chain and pendant combinations at a time. There are three steps to mastering the technique, and below, there are four ways you can layer your pendants and chains without going overboard.

Step one: Pick chain lengths that look good on you. The shortest chain should sit on or just below your collar bones.

Step two: learn which weights to wear where. The thinner the chain, the shorter you wear it. The thicker the chain, the longer you wear it.

Step three: Mix and Match chains of different lengths and thicknesses. Try these four combinations on for size. Which one do you like best?

  • one short-chain, light-weight with a pendant and
  • one medium length, medium-weight chain with a pendant

or

  • one short-chain, light-weight with a pendant and
  • one medium length heavy-weight chain without a pendant

or

  • one small, short-chain with a pendant and
  • one medium length, medium-weight chain without a pendant and
  • one longer chain, heavy-weight with a pendant

or

  • one small, short-chain with a pendant and
  • one medium length, light-weight chain with a pendant and
  • one longer chain, heavy-weight with a pendant

As previously stated, the shortest chain sits on or just below your collar bones. The medium-length chain is four inches longer than the short chain, and the long-chain is four inches longer than the medium-chain. Depending on your height and weight, the actual measurement of the chains will change. Check yourself every few years to make sure you are still wearing the right lengths. Knowing what the short chain’s length is can help you look good every day, and on special days when you rock your layered look.
