In chronological order may I present our top 10 movies for the under-10 crowd.
Santa Claus The Movie PG (1985) is a Santa origin story and more. Starting in the distant past it speeds through time to the 1980s when the disheartened elf, Patch (Dudley Moore) leaves the north pole. Once his absence is discovered, Santa and two children try and convince Patch to come home thereby saving Christmas.
The Muppet’s Christmas Carol G (1992) is Jim Henson at his finest. If you love the Muppet’s share this movie with the kids in your life.
Annabelle’s Wish G (1997) is about a calf that wants to be a reindeer and a boy who wants to speak. It’s only 54 minutes long, but we are counting it as a movie!
Ice Age PG is the first in a series of four movies, each one about an hour and a half long. The movies center on a trio of bachelors and unlikely friends: a mammoth, a sloth, and a saber-tooth cat who return a human child to his tribe.
Polar Express G (2004) is the story of belief. A young boy on the verge of disbelief travels to the north pole via train and learns a lot about himself along the way. 1 hour and 40 minutes long.

March of the Penguins G (2005) is a documentary about Emperor penguins and their lives in Antarctica. There may not be any tinsel or bows, but there is a lot of snow! 1 hour and 20 minutes long.
Eight Below PG (2006) is an adventure movie about sled dogs and survival through the Antarctic winter. It is 2 hours long.
The Chronicles of Narnia PG. This is a trilogy that’s almost 7 hours long. It is based on the books of the same name featuring a group of siblings that travel to a fantastic world of Kings, Queens, talking animals, and fantastic creatures.
Noelle G (2019) is about Santa’s daughter Noelle, and her struggle to follow her Christmas dreams. It is 1 hour and 40 minutes long.
Klaus PG (2019) is a new Santa origin story set on a far north Scandinavian island. It provides plausible explanations for a number of Santa’s magical abilities and shows that love conquers all. Runtime: 1 hour and 36 minutes.
