Ileana Makri and Zoe Cassavetes worked together on “Emily in Paris” for Netflix. If you haven’t seen it, it’s cute and perfectly bingable.
After working together for Netflix, a third party saw their potential and convinced them to collaborate on jewelry.
Their jewelry celebrates the 200 year anniversary of Greek Independence and features a number of pieces. Each piece is beautiful and stunningly coin-like. They made a ring that looks like a cross between a dime-on ring and a renaissance poisoner’s ring. The ring opens to reveal a secret compartment just large enough to hold an affirmation or a little poison, whatever you like.
It brings a whole new meaning to “The ring is modeled after The Society of Friends (Greece) organization’s flag. The secret society was responsible for starting the war that ended with Greek Independence.
There are rings, earrings, and pendants in the collection set to launch this fall through Saks Fifth Avenue.
